This is the track heard during the "No Mercy" heist, which is available in the PC version of the game.
For "No Mercy", we were given the actual graphics assets for the Left 4 Dead map "Mercy Hospital". Our art team worked on the models and textures to create a version of the hospital environment that represents how the place looked *before* the zombie apocalypse - when it was all tidy and pristine. Play the heist to find out why the top floors of the hospital are a construction site in Left 4 Dead!
The techno music produced for the "No Mercy" heist wouldn't suit the atmosphere of the original Left 4 Dead map very well - but since the Payday heist takes place in the hospital when it's still all about clean white walls and sterile medical equipment, electronic music fits perfectly. And finally the robbers find themselves in a location where their rubber gloves don't raise so much suspicion!
The clever track name "Code Silver" was suggested by TP1 on the Payday Steam forums. Internet search the term to find out what it means!
BONUS! If you purchase the entire album you get remix material for this track!
The music in the game "Payday - The Heist" is dynamic - this means that its intensity adapts to what's happening in the game. The tracks on this soundtrack release are all put together from the elements that make up the dynamic music.
Often, over six or seven minutes of music has been trimmed and arranged (by the original composer) to become a shorter, more accessible piece of music that you can enjoy listening to outside of the game. credits from Payday - The Game Soundtrack, released 18 October 2012 Written and produced by Simon Viklund
